Meeting Date Changed

At the April 5th Union Meeting a motion was made, seconded, and passed to move the May 2024 meeting to the 10th.  Therefore, the May 2024 Regular Union Meeting will be held at 7PM on Friday, May 10th.

*This meeting date change also applies to the Executive Board (4PM) and the Examining Board (9AM).

IBEW LOCAL UNION 1205 SICK AND NEEDY FUND BYLAWS CHANGE

Effective for the month of March 2024 all active members will be enrolled in the Sick and Needy Fund and charged the additional $10.00/month unless they opt out.

Updated Sick and Needy Fund Bylaws available on the website.  An email will be sent to all Active “A” members.  A text will also be sent to members registered through the website to receive texts.

All recurring payments will be adjusted to account for the addition of the Sick and Needy Fund payment on the February 20th payment for the month of March.

IBEW LOCAL UNION 1205 SPECIAL CALLED MEETING TO OPEN NEGOTIATIONS

The Inside Working Agreement will expire on May 31st, 2024.  A special called meeting will be held on Friday, March 1st, after the 7PM Union Meeting to discuss upcoming negotiations.

Any member unable to attend is invited to contribute to the discussion by submitting a request via the contact form.  Also, don’t forget to register at ibew1205.org for event and meeting reminders via text or email.

RECURRING MEETING DATES

1205 Union Meeting:  7PM EST first Friday of each month at the Hall

Executive Board Meeting:  4PM EST first Friday of each month at the Hall

Examining Board Meeting:  9AM EST first Friday of each month at the Hall

RENEW Committee Meeting:  7PM EST third Friday of each month at the Hall

Meeting dates and times may be changed in accordance with IBEW Local Union 1205's Bylaws:

Article II, Meetings

Sec. 1. Regular meetings shall be held once a month at the time and date as decided by the Local Union. The International Office shall be advised of the time, date, and location of regular Local Union meetings and also of any future changes. The membership shall be notified of any change in regular meeting dates.

Sec. 2. Only the Business Manager or the Executive Board may call special meetings. The members shall be notified in writing (by mail, leaflets, in the Union newspaper, or on accessible bulletin boards) of any special meeting. No business shall be transacted at any special meeting except that for which it has been called.

Motions were made, seconded and passed to schedule these dates during the January 5th, 2024 Union Meeting.  More specific times and details will be provided closer to the event dates.

Christmas Party & Pin Presentations: December 7th
