Please check out the link below and sign the petition for the Employee Free Choice Act. This may be the must important legislation in the modern labor movement. You can be part of it by signing this petition.

Some CEOs just go too far. They rake in millions while cutting back health benefits and raises for their employees. It’s time to bring back some balance in this economy. This bill would help all of us, by giving workers more muscle to raise living standards, improve health care, and stop outsourcing.

The January Regular Union Meeting has been changed from January 2, 2009 to January 9, 2009. The retirees meeting will also be on January 9. If you have any questions please call the hall.

During the September 2008 regular Union Meeting, a motion was made, seconded, and passed to have a Christmas Party at the Union Hall for all active and retired members and their families. Saturday, December 20th, 2008 Children’s Party 11am Adult Party 6pm 1205 NW 6th Street Gainesville, Florida
